Created in collaboration with Dover Street Market, the publication is named after and solely stars the pair’s muse: Anaïs, who they met on the tube. “We photographed Anaïs for Hot and Cool about three years ago at her home in Somerset,” Sion and Goddard, both of whom rank on the Dazed 100 list, tell us. “We felt that doing those pictures really took the magazine in the direction we’d been looking for and found Anaïs herself really inspiring, so when Dover Street asked us to make a publication with them we decided focus the whole project around Anaïs.” Shot at her family home, these images feature Anaïs modelling a range of DSM-stocked designers including Gosha Rubchinskiy, Vetements and Goddard’s sister and fellow Dazed 100 star, Molly. The launch of this publication coincides with the opening of DSM’s new shop – a 31,384 square foot space on Haymarket Street. Speaking on the space, its co-founder Rei Kawakubo said, “I want to create a kind of market where various creators from various fields gather together and encounter each other in an ongoing atmosphere of beautiful chaos; the mixing up and coming together of different kindred souls who all share a strong personal vision.” Vote for Theo Sion in the Dazed 100 here, and for Alice Goddard here.
