Whether discussing the celebrity-packed front row (Lorde, Courtney Love, Drake, Debbie Harry), the casting (Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Ian Connor, Luka Sabbat), the unreleased track that Kanye West dropped or the cryptic, politically-charged meaning of the runway’s theatrics, no one has stopped talking about Yeezy season 2. Perhaps part of its intrigue is the level of mystery that surrounded the show – it was announced just days ago, details were kept on lockdown and, strict on images, West allowed no photographers to shoot it save for the ones he organised. One exception is these instant film pictures by Dazed contributor and one of the show’s main stylists Akeem Smith, who captured the models behind the scenes – including snaps of Kylie and Bella, and performance artist-slash-Kanye collaborator Vanessa Beecroft.
