Considering that their purpose is to display clothes, it’s not often you see nude models feature in a fashion editorial. “I was attracted to the visual aspect that the contrast would create," explains NYC-based photographer Brianna Capozzi. “I felt it was a beautiful way to highlight the clothes.” This shoot – created in collaboration with Dazed fashion editor Emma Wyman – features model Kat Hessen relaxing in a palatial garden in a variety of wintery puffer jackets, statuesque nude women bathing in the sun around her. It’s a surreal take on an otherwise standard summer scenario, re-contextualising the puffa jacket into new fashion territory. As for the nude models – “they are my very close friends, my number one girls!” Capozzi laughs. “We have done a ton of wild shoots together!”
