Initial reaction:
Against a digital backdrop of crashing waves, Umit Benan took the humble uniform of the working fisherman and elevated every aspect of it – from chunky knits to chest waders and parkas that were meant to be sea-battered. They didn't just dress the part but they looked it too, as Benan once again explored a vocation archetype with depth. It ended with the last model throwing his beanie off in cavalier fashion: he was on shore again and off duty.
How it was worn:
With seasalt sprayed faces, buckets of water, beanies and sou'wester hats, and with a huge fishing rod in one hand just to hammer home the point.
Casting:
A rugged group of street casted men (not boys) invariably with beards – because only men that can grow a full beard are strong enough to brave the seas.
