Initial reaction:
After Ralph Lauren Polo for women's game changing water hologram presentation in Central Park, it was refreshing to return to Ralph Lauren's familiar indoor elegance – but this season, there was a surprisingly rugged utility to even the evening wear in the collection. Dressy silk cargo pants opened the show (in case a black tie event comes up while you're on safari), and even the most striking look of the show – a "rustic gold" tulle dress with dazzling beading across the chest – was styled with a leather belt and an aged leather bag slung over the shoulder.
Like the Sia song:
Above the runway hung a series of low hanging chandeliers with tons of tiny lights and draped in cloth. "I'm gonna swing from..."
With a side of condiments, please:
At one point, bright yellow and bright red sweeping evening dresses shared the runway, prompting GQ editor John Jannuzzi to caption a photo of them "ketchup and mustard."
