A new era: This was Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s first collection as creative director and felt very much like an exercise in exploring the boundaries between severity and romance, something he achieved. Clinical vs. couture: Power blue PVC was set against heavy embellishments made up from silver safety pins, whilst sumptuous pink wools created airy A-line silhouettes, reminiscent of decades past. Hidden details: Bat wings covered black evening dresses and adorned the side of tinted sci-fi glasses. A hint of perversion: Found in the seemingly Allen Jones inspired ink black patent A-line skirts.
