It's a narrative we've all experienced, but one that lends itself to the lens. Photographer Pierre Debusschere is no stranger to fashion film – he's been exploring since his first editorial for Dazed, 21st Century Boy, in 2009. “The future of fashion film is ours to make," explains Debusschere of the evolving platform. "It is still a young medium and we all have the chance to find our own personal language within it. People say nobody watches moving pieces over 1:30 but it’s not true – I have seen the complete opposite in my work. We should leave spaces open for people to decide what they want to see or not by experimenting with different formats and narrative ideas. Maybe we’ll fail at some points along the way, but ultimately it will push the medium forward.” Photography Pierre Debusschere Styling Robbie Spencer Hair Vi at Management Artists Make-up Adrien Pinault at Management Artists using Mac Model Sabrina Ioffreda at Next Photographic assistants Ismael Moumin, Christian Jimenes Styling assistant Coline Bach Production 254Forest and Art+Commerce Casting Noah Shelley for AM Casting Special thanks Rebecca Cuglietta, Pierre Daras, Quentin Devillers, Nicolas Lefebure and the Bloodylouis team Escape the algorithm!
