Fashion / ShowMoncler Gamme Rouge SS14Luxe feather capes, animal print brights and quilted mens capes under a jungle of vinesShareLink copied ✔️September 30, 2013FashionShowPhotography Jacques Habbah Text Natasha Slee Moncler Gamme Rouge SS14 Initial reaction: Urban explorer in the jungle. References: Africa, but stylised: luxe feather capes, shimmering safari khaki and lots of animal print. Unexpected details: An emergency orange cagoule tied at the waist and peeping beneath a khaki and leopard print shirt, and enormous feathered sleeves on a conservative black zipped coatdress. Stand out looks: Among the print and feathers came a beautifully constructed blue and white stripe dress with deconstructed panel folding to one side and a checked cagoule tied at the waist. Set: A jungle of vines and atmospheric smoke. Viral moment: When gorillas on skateboards stormed the finale. How they wore it: With trucker caps and oversized duffle bags with thick leather straps, and skateboard under the arm. The look: Youthfully insouciant hair – unbrushed yet impeccably highlighted – and a fresh face with a mere sweep of blush. Menswear: Layers of checks – hoods over hooded cagoules, and t-shirts over sweaters – and leopard print quilted ‘coats’ reminiscent of sleeping bags, worn over the head and tied like a cape. Left us wanting: To don a feathered dress and go skateboarding. Moncler Gamme Rouge SS14Photography by Jacques HabbahEscape the algorithm!
