Yu Masui is a London-based fashion journalist who started his career as a buyer at the legendary Pineal Eye. Introducing many emerging talents, his selections also extended to several Japanese boutiques. He's since returned to his roots as a fashion writer, a discipline he studied, contributing to leading Japanese titles. Masui is also a self-confessed "lazy blogger", happily writing about food, travel, lifestyle and sometimes fashion on Yu ♥..., parallel to his deadlines.

PFW day one: "Gender Confusion"

Yu Masui's daily style column is back, now in Paris!!! Arriving a day earlier than Yu was supposed to for the H&M show and party – the first catwalk show in Paris. High street shops are trying to reach high-end by "non-collabo" at the moment. H&M is launching luxe label & Other Stories this Spring. Also Whistles just opened a shop on Dover Street and Yu hears they are searching for an opportunity to present their collection at London Fashion Week. Apparently All Saints has gone in a new direction but Yu missed the LFW appointment! 

Anyway, "see-thru" is a big trend for this Spring/Summer. Yu found it was quite hard to wear this J.W. Anderson twin set in a masculine way… so just went for feminine instead! Styling up with big gems and platform shoes which give Yu longer legs!!! Thanx ♡

Yu had to compromise with a heavier coat though. He wanted to wear something more Spring/Summer but Paris is still far too cold!!! By the way, some people told Yu he had the same pose and face for five days during LFW... Yu may have variety of clothes but not facial expressions... Sorry! Will make an effort!!!
