Yu Masui is a London based fashion journalist who started his career as a buyer at the legendary Pineal Eye. Introducing many emerging talents, his selections also extended to several Japanese boutiques. He's since returned to his roots as a fashion writer, a discipline he studied, contributing to leading Japanese titles. Masui is also a self-confessed "lazy blogger", happily writing about food, travel, lifestyle and sometimes fashion on Yu ♥..., parallel to his deadlines.

LFW day one: 'Monsieur'

"It's the first day of London Fashion Week! Why not dress up a bit? Today's a bit more sophisticated as Yu is attending a reception at 10 Downing Street later on. Yu Masui is celebrating the return of Hedi Slimane – Dior Homme was an important moment from his early buying career. So he decided to put his archives together in tribute to a 'Saint Laurent feeling' as he didn't have time to shop. Thanks to non-stop fashion weeks and deadlines only Saint Laurent skinny jeans have been bought online so far. They arrived straight away but the waist is a bit tighter than Yu expected... Can't breathe! Anyway, a hat with moustache veil by Piers Atkinson completes monsieur-ness, perfect for the Headonism event this afternoon!"
