Lucas Ossendrijver, under observation of Alber Elbaz, presented his strongest collection for Lanvin yet, a daring, urgent, 80s new wave for today, with high waisted trousers, monochromatic tailoring and grade one short-back and sides haircuts with blunt fringes.

Styled by AnOther Man's Alister Mackie, models wore piercings at the top and bottom of their ears, connected by a chain. Pounding an elevated metal catwalk, the clothes adhered to the Lanvin codes of hi-tech and hi-luxe, most often in the same garment.

A glam metallic silver story punctuated – amidst a relaxed season, these were clothes of allure, dynamism and counterculture-hued polish, asking to be taken on a good night out. Even at 11am on a Sunday morning.
