November amplifies our appetite for passion, depth and intensity. Scorpio season is underway, three planets are preparing to station retrograde, and truth won’t stay hidden for very long. Scorpio, the zodiac’s resident bad guy, has a reputation for being provocative, power-hungry and sex-obsessed, but make no mistake, Scorpio sees everything. Probing and investigative,  it’s no surprise that the Scorpion stirs so much suspicion from all the other signs, as it comes to catalyse the changes we’re often too afraid to make.

In October, Libra season placed a flirtatious focus on harmony and companionship, but Scorpio season now lures us into unknown waters, revealing the unfiltered and unconscious desires in our relationships. Scorpio is a relationship-oriented sign, but doesn’t have any patience for the social niceties or superficiality of Libra. Scorpio rules the energy we share with others, energetically, interpersonally, and even financially. Scorpio guards the rich territory of sex, death and destruction. This sign wants to deeply merge with others, insisting that we are forever changed from our experience of intimacy.

As Venus stays in Scorpio for the majority of the month, we become investigators, scanning the motives of our counterparts, caught up in new fixations or late-night online deep dives. This is where we may come face-to-face with jealousy, obsession, revenge and the need for control

As Venus stays in Scorpio for the majority of the month, we become investigators, scanning the motives of our counterparts, caught up in new fixations or late-night online deep dives. This is where we may come face-to-face with jealousy, obsession, revenge and the need for control. Adding to the intensity, Venus squares Pluto in early November, asking us to confront harsh-realities as the internet continues to replace intimacy. Pluto, God of the underworld, moves through Aquarius, bringing up questions about technology, collective thought, and the trajectory of humanity itself. Here, feelings of alienation rise to the surface, as the planets expose the darker side of our communities and networks. Are the mechanisms of the modern world interfering with our need for closeness? Are we too concerned with how we’re perceived to take a risk? How can we restore genuine connection and real community?

Thankfully, the Full Moon in Taurus on November 5 brings us out of the digital haze and back into our bodies. Falling on the Scorpio-Taurus axis, this lunation reminds us of the importance of self-worth, spotlighting where we’ve been giving away too much of our power. Intimacy flourishes when we tend to our own needs first, and this Full Moon helps us release what no longer feeds us, return to what feels nourishing, and get our own side of the street in order.

Just days later, on November 7, Uranus retrogrades back into Taurus, delivering the final push to revolutionise our values, upgrade our attitude about abundance and develop self-worth. This serves as a reminder to own the weird and wonderful parts of ourselves, to stop apologising for what makes us different, and to root our worth in authenticity rather than outside approval. On November 11, Jupiter stations retrograde in Cancer, enhancing our emotional landscapes. This retrograde is less about external growth and more about cultivating faith, trust and safety within. It invites us to reflect on what family, community and belonging really mean, and how our personal beliefs either support or neglect those needs.

It’s time to restore our hope in humanity and develop a more inclusive philosophy about what we’re all doing here

On the 9th, Mercury stations retrograde in outrageous and opinionated Sagittarius, enlivening our appetite for arguments, online shitposting and self-righteous diatribes. As Mercury goes toe-to-toe with an impulsive Mars, our words have a more energised edge. This is not the time for political arguments, debates with uncles, or live-streaming our personal manifestos. It’s time to restore our hope in humanity and develop a more inclusive philosophy about what we’re all doing here. While we are blunt, we are provided with the courage to face what we may have previously avoided or put off. As Mercury later drifts back into Scorpio on November 18, conversations take on a deeper tone. Old wounds or insecurities may resurface, but so does the chance to reframe them with new awareness.

The New Moon in Scorpio on November 20 offers a clean slate for new connections. It’s a highly auspicious time for setting intentions, particularly for the kind of intimacy, trust and depth we require. With Uranus stirring up the skies, surprises or breakthroughs accompany these new beginnings. When the Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st, the mood lifts. Suddenly, our desire for closeness is replaced by a need for spontaneity. Sagittarius energy requires freedom and adventure, but it doesn’t mind taking the uncharted path in solitude. Curiosity takes over and we’re hungry for answers, new experiences and broader horizons.

The month is defined by the dangerous dance between Scorpio and Sagittarius. What do they share? An uncompromising hunger for truth and a tendency to take things to extremes. With three retrogrades this month, caution is advised. This month is about balance. Don’t stir up drama just because you’re bored. Be a seeker, not a stalker. Say what needs to be said, but don’t be mean when you say it. Scorpio pulls us into deeper questions, Sagittarius pushes us toward bigger horizons, and together they remind us that growth comes from honesty.
