July 2022 horoscope: the stars foresee a political revolution this month

When the North Node aligns with Uranus in Taurus on the 31st it promises decentralisation of global power and greater freedom

We start off July already transiting through Cancer season, and we are tender and sensitive, looking for safety and emotional nourishment in a state of global transition. Cancer, ruled by the Moon, is associated with women, mothers, early childhood experiences, emotional reciprocity, safety and nurturing. Like a Crab takes its home with it, we are encouraged to find a semblance of security we can carry at all times. We are pulled back into our bodies, our hearts and needs, eager to retreat into our own sacred spaces. Cancer teaches us to nurture our internal world and how to manage our emotions. It’s the perfect time to seek out comfort, and direct self care towards your inner landscape. Topics around womanhood, femininity and reparenting core wounds take center stage. We are looking for nourishment and reprieve, called to cosy up with loved ones and retreat to our home spheres. Compassionate and a little weepy, it’s time to take care of ourselves.

Mercury moves into Cancer on the 5th of the month, continuing the conversation around women’s rights and highlighting matters of emotional reciprocity.  We are leading conversations with our sensitivity. War-God Mars also enters Taurus on the 5th of the month, so we can expect a slower, more grounded approach to fulfilling tasks. A Capricorn Full Moon on the 13th has us confronting our relationship to leadership and worldly duties, particularly in times of global and personal adversity. This push and pull between our responsibilities and our increasing sensitivity may require us to push for more rest and downtime.

On the 17th, Venus moves into Cancer, making us nostalgic homebodies, eager to curl up with an old movie, and gravitate towards familiar faces. Think Lana Del Rey, Betty Crocker, but geared for revolution. Mercury moves into fiery Leo on the 19th, and we are quick to vocalize our needs and declare personal needs. Our focus turns to what makes us special. Leo season begins on the 22nd and we are bold, grandiose and ready to roar. We have abandoned the seclusion of Cancer season and we are hungry for theatrics. Our eagerness for validation can be tiresome, but we are playful and creatively expressive. Leo, the sign of the Divine Child, draws our attention to feeling appreciated and seen. Themes of self love are accentuated, particularly on the New Moon in Leo on the 28th. Use this date to set intentions around your own loveability.

The Lion’s appetite for theatrics is satiated when the North Node aligns with Uranus in Taurus on the 31st. This celestial event promises global revolution, as Uranus is the planet of shock, sudden events and drastic change. All signs will take on an attitude of personal rebellion, as we unhook from old patterns and charge into unmarked territory collectively. Weather anomalies or financial crashes may be in the cards. Ultimately, we are moving towards greater independence and a decentralization of global power, and all of these events are gearing us up for greater freedom.
