When it comes to beauty, his milestones include showering himself with Bien-être or Comme des Garçons 2 Man on the regular, swears by the remedies of black soap from his homeland of Sierra Leone (Fun Fact: he used to work in a soap factory) and considers jade rollers actual weapons after a bad first time experience using one during lockdown. Here, he shares his favourite product for Product of the Week – a weekly round-up of the Dazed Beauty team and wider community’s must-have buys. WHAT IS IT? Brand: Humanrace Product: Humidifying Cream Price: £35 Humanrace WHY SHOULD I CARE? Despite my mixed race beauty mantra of ‘beige don’t age’, I have long struggled to find the perfect skincare routine, until now... I’m basic, so I first saw Humanrace on Pharrell’s Instagram. I follow him religiously, he’s the Prophet of Pop. Could this new brand finally give me a beat as good as a Neptune sound? The launch of the brand is a three-step, three-minute routine. It lets you disable the face filter setting on Zoom! QUICKFIRE QUESTIONS It tastes like… Wheatgrass iPod Yoghurt Pudding. Yes, that’s exactly what that tastes like.... Although, snow mushroom and coconut fruit juice are some of its ingredients. So, a juicebox. If it was a song it would be… “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” by SZA, “Good Vibrations” by The Beach Boys, “Feel So Good” by Mase, and “Mandy” by Barry Manilow. Keep me going, I could make a playlist. If I could go back in time and give this product to anybody it would be... myself to save me from delayed high school acne in my mid-20s. Granted, I’m not a historical figure, but I’m on Dazed Beauty so that’s close enough… Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
