Demna Gvasalia has a great solution for what you can do with all those old /broken/ obsolete-because-Apple-changes-its-port-every-five-minutes USB cables you have lying around – use them to tie back your hair.

Yesterday, the designer showed his latest collection for Balenciaga with an end of the world show staged on a water-flooded runway. As digital overhead screens projected a sense of impending doom with images of billowing smoke, raging fires and flocks of birds, models walked the runway in a collection that explored obsession, fanaticism and fetishism.

Alongside football kits, latex pieces and biker leathers, tech played a big part in the show. Models carried their phones as they walked wearing T-shirts bearing the dreaded ‘no connection’ WiFi symbol. When it came to the beauty, models were make-up free with some wearing red or black contacts while nails by Mei Kawajiri were pointed and razor-sharp. Meanwhile, on the female models' hair, Holli Smith used white USB cables to tie up slicked-back ponytails. A fun solution for when the apocalypse comes and makes all technology obsolete.
