There’s nothing the Kardashians love more than a trip down to the Patent and Trademark Office and that’s exactly how Kylie Jenner started her new year.
Last week, the beauty entrepreneur filed to trademark “Kylie Con,” “Kylie Museum” and, of course, “Kylie Kon,” for beauty-related consultation services, classes, workshops, exhibitions and interactive experiences. According to the filings, the museum will also have other “museum services” including guided tours and special events. The news was first reported by Josh Gerben, a lawyer although not one associated with Kylie.
What this appears to mean, basically, is that Kylie is looking to host a beauty convention similar to BeautyCon or Goop’s recent wellness summits. The museum is more of a head-scratcher but perhaps Kylie is protecting her name from others using it. Only time will tell, although we might be waiting a while. As it stands, we have yet to see the fruits of the ‘riiise and shiiine’ trademark.
From what we can see though, it looks to be shaping up to be a busy year for the youngest Kardashian, who just rounded off a very successful decade. Last year, Kylie became the youngest self-made billionaire thanks to Kylie Cosmetics and she recently overtook older sister Kim to become the most followed member of the Kardashian clan on Instagram and is now the fifth most followed person in the world.
