And when it's all over, what next? 16-year-old Nashville natives Dylan and Brianna had been together for four years when filming started. “We were the main couple. The biggest couple in Lebanon,” says Brianna. But during the production process of MAINLINE's True Love series, they broke up. First finding love when Dylan pursued Brianna as kids, the pair began an intense relationship. At 16, they were engaged to be married, proposing with printed pyjamas emblazoned with the slogan: ‘I moustache you a question’. The couple saw their futures very much entwined together. It was only when Brianna moved to a neighbouring estate where two ex-boyfriends lived that “drama” began: the couple fought, ignored each other, and came to an agreement that they were no longer together. Brianna got back with her ex. Elise Tyler, the producer and co-creator of the project, explains first meeting Dylan and Brianna, the impetus of the project. “Michael and I were driving around Lebanon, TN, a suburb of Nashville, scouting for a different project. We were street casting a young couple for a music video, and were coming up empty handed. Then, we both noticed a young man with his shirt off, hanging out in his front yard with some friends on BMX bikes. He was smoking a cigarette and looked cool as hell. We pulled over and I started talking to him. It was Dylan, and that moment was magic. We didn't know then how much would come from that chance encounter, but I am so appreciative that we intersected that day.” “Brianna is my flower, even though we’re not together,” says Dylan. ‘Dylan & Brianna’ shows each of them driving separately around Nashville, to work, and to home; both at a crossroads in their young lives and in their relationship. They’re not technically together again, but there’s a glimmer of hope that their mad love story is far from over.
