Founded in 1947 by a collective of eminent photojournalists, including Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa, Magnum Photos has captured and disseminated some of the most iconic images in photographic history. Non-profit organisation Aperture is one of the most distinguished photography publishers in the world. Now, the two have come together for a print sale featuring some of their most revered image-makers.
With photographs curated on the theme Youth, the sale launches today (20 October 2025) and offers the chance to get your hands on a limited edition print from the likes of Jim Goldberg, Joel Meyerowitz, Eve Arnold, Alec Soth, Jamie Hawkesworth, Bob Gruen and many more, each depicting different stories contemplating youth as “a moment, a memory – a state of becoming”.
Featuring over 100 images selected by the photographers themselves, the sale offers 6x6” prints ranging from Dennis Stock’s black-and-white portrait of 50s heartthrob James Dean to Elliot Landy’s depiction of festival goers cascading across the sound tower at Woodstock in 1969. Sakir Khader’s poignant photograph, Guardians of the Olive Fields, portrays youth under occupation. Khader captures a group of boys attempting to defend their land against Israeli forces in the Palestinian city of Nablus. Meanwhile, Jamie Hawksworth’s photograph of a pair of young boys back-flipping onto a pile of mattresses in their front garden and Joel Meyerowitz’s Cape Cod, which captures a girl posing in shorts, both evoke long summer days.
As a statement from Magnum succinctly puts, “[Youth is] not only an era in our lives but a state of mind.” The sale offers a chance to own a signed or estate-stamped, museum-quality 6x6” print from the world’s greatest photographers, immortalising the electric ‘firsts’ of youth.
Prints will be available here for one week, starting at £110.
