You can now buy your own signed artwork by David Lynch

The limited edition prints will be on sale at the director’s first major UK exhibition in Manchester

David Lynch fans, rejoice! You can now purchase your very own limited edition print by the artist and filmmaker. The artwork – available in a run of 100 and personally signed by Lynch himself – marks the opening of his first major UK exhibition, titled My Head is Disconnected, taking place at HOME Manchester as part of this year’s Manchester International Festival.

Called “Four (4) Heads Came Out on Wednesday”, the limited edition print – that will go on sale to HOME and Manchester International Festival members at midday July 3 and to the public at midday July 4 – is described in an official statement as a “figurative apparition with multiple floating, circling heads, wailing upon a lonely hillside, a house of home in the rear-ground, earth and sky mingling in a brewing storm of Lynchian menace”.

Produced in Lynch’s long-time Parisian workshop, where he has created medium and large-format black-and-white lithographs for decades, the print explores the artist’s typical themes of “loneliness, eroticism, dreams and death”. Priced at £425 each, purchasers of the artwork will be invited to a private view of Lynch’s exhibition this Friday.

Opening July 6, the exhibition – that will feature never-before-seen paintings, sculptures, photography and drawings – is part of David Lynch at HOME, a two-month season of art, film, music and events on the filmmaker. Also on show is an extensive film programme that will show works from his earliest forays in filmmaking to the seminal TV series Twin Peaks.

Musician and Lynch collaborator Chrysta Bell will also host a three-night series of specially prepared live shows from Lynch-inspired musicians with headline acts Anna Calvi, These New Puritans, and Oliver Coates.

My Head is Disconnected is on show at HOME Manchester between July 6 and September 29, 2019. You can find more information about Manchester International Festival here
