Jean Dawson is the experimental musician going viral

Take a look at the viral moment featuring the new Nike Air Max Pulse from his hometime show in San Diego

To celebrate Nike Air Max Day, we’ve partnered with Nike to transport you into 2053. In a new documentary, five creatives from Generation Air look back at the key moments in 2023 which pushed culture forward. Head to the hub here to watch the documentary and find out more.

We’re calling it now: the rest of 2023 belongs to Jean Dawson. While he has been steadily making a name for himself in music for the past six years, it was last week that the musician saw worldwide viral success after videos from one of his concerts made rounds on social media.

Hosting a sold-out show at Pechanga Arena in his hometown of San Diego, the experimental pop singer performed his biggest hits including ”MENTHOL*”, ”Power Freaks” and ”SICK OF IT*”. However, it was a video of him performing ‘PIRATE RADIO*’ from his latest studio album that made waves online. With his signature grills, Dawson took to the stage wearing Nike’s brand new Air Max Pulse, which shortly thereafter completely sold out. It is now in high demand as many of his fans attempt to get their hands on the same shoes he wore during the performance. With some naming him the new figurehead of ‘Generation Air’, it seems as though this may be the start of a new generation claiming the Nike Air Max as their signature shoe.
