Watch A$AP Rocky propose to Rihanna in new video for ‘D.M.B.’

The closest we’ll get to new Rihanna music this year? Probably

Remember that photo of A$AP Rocky and Rihanna kicking back on a New York City fire escape back in July 2021, wearing matching fluffy fits from Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton SS22 collection? Of course you do. Have you recovered yet? Of course you haven’t. But now, at least, you can relive the endorphin high of watching the world’s most stylish couple strut about the city whenever you like.

In case you missed it, we’re talking about the music video for A$AP Rocky’s new single, “D.M.B” – AKA the video that the rapper was filming with Rihanna on that fateful day in NYC.

As teased in a tweeted-then-deleted announcement earlier this week, the video offers us the full range of Ri and Rocky’s looks from the shoot, as the pair play out a “ghetto love tale” across the city that never sleeps, culminating in a wedding proposal with golden “Marry Me” grills (if you liked Rihanna’s pregnancy portraits, then you’ll love this).

“D.M.B.” itself – which seemingly stands for “Dat$ Mah B!*sh”, as quoted on the cover art – is produced by Skepta, in collaboration with Hector Delgado, Krash, Nort Ollem, Shlohmo and D33J.

The track arrives ahead of the rapper’s much-anticipated follow-up to his last studio album, 2018’s Testing. Said to be titled All Smiles, the record is yet to receive a release date.
