After breaking the internet with her ass, Lorde has shared her second single from Solar Power. Like her title track, “Stoned at the Nail Salon” is co-produced with Jack Antonoff and features background vocals from Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo, Marlon Williams, and James Milne.
Solar Power marks Lorde’s return since her 2017 album Melodrama, and is set to be released on August 20. The record will contain 12 tracks and two bonus tracks, with the majority of the song titles including references to nature.
“The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalising the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors,” she said in a press release. “In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learned to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through.”
The star will mark the release of her single with an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers tonight (July 21), joining the host in the studio for an interview.
