Finn Wolfhard has been keeping busy. The 16-year-old, who’s recently starred in The Goldfinch movie adaptation, and modelled as the face of Saint Laurent, has formed a new band, The Aubreys.
While not much is known about the Stranger Things stars latest musical endeavour, their track “Getting Better(otherwise)” will feature on the soundtrack to Floria Sigismondi’s thriller, The Turning, which Wolfhard stars in alongside Black Mirror’s Mackenzie Davis.
The film is based on The Turn of the Screw, a ghost story by Henry James, and will be released in cinemas on January 24. Also featuring on the soundtrack is music by Kim Gordon, Courtney Love, Mitski, Kali Uchis, and more.
Wolfhard, who won the Dazed 100 back in 2017, was previously in another band Calpurnia, which split up earlier this month. The Vancouver four-piece wrote on Instagram: “It’s bittersweet to share this news, but we want to let you know that our time playing together as Calpurnia has come to an end. We are extremely grateful for the support we’ve received over the past few years. What seemed to us like an unimaginable reality came to be, and we have been thrilled to share the ride with you.”
