Kim Kardashian says Kanye has been ‘born again’ with his Sunday Service

She claims that the project was an exercise in self-healing

Since mid January 2019 Kanye West has been hosting weekly Sunday Services at various locations across the US ranging from his studio in Calabasas to the forests outside Los Angeles – they feature gospel vocalists, regular celebrity appearances, and modified performances of Kayne material. The performers usually dress in matching Yeezy attire, giving the whole thing an eerie Rajneeshee vibe.

In an appearance earlier this weekend on US talk show The View, his wife Kim Kardashian revealed the motivation behind the shows, claiming that Kanye initially used them as a form of self-healing: “Kanye started this I think just to heal himself, and it was a really personal thing, and it was just friends and family”.

She added: “He has had an amazing evolution of being born again and being saved by Christ... people always ask, you know, ‘what are you worshiping?’ and ‘what is this?’ it is a Christian service, like a musical ministry, they talk about Jesus and God.”

Kim Kardashian emphasised that although they started off as a personal project, the services have grown into something much bigger that Kanye wants to share with the world. Catch some gospel vibes from the latest Sunday Service below:
