Do you want to spook your neighbours this Halloween? Do the sound of ghosts and ghouls just not do it for you anymore? Stranger Things composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein (who also play in the synth group S U R V I V E) have the answer for you with Halloween Sounds from the Upside Down, a new 14-track album featuring music from the Netflix show’s second season.
“Hide some speakers in your bushes, play this record, and scare those trick or treaters,” note Dixon and Stein in a press release.
The music of Halloween Sounds from the Upside Down previously featured in Stranger Things’ second season alongside pop and new wave songs by the likes of Duran Duran, Cyndi Lauper, and Fad Gadget. Before now, the album was only available as a bonus download on iTunes with the season’s main soundtrack, but today it’s been shared on streaming services. Fans who want a physical version can buy a copy on (what else) pumpkin-coloured vinyl.
