Kanye West announces his new musical project Yandhi

The rapper’s collaborative album with Chance the Rapper is also on the way too

As always, Kanye is happy to churn some rumours online. The rapper dropped two captionless pics on his Twitter and Instagram – one shows a board that announces Adam Driver and ‘Yandhi’ are guests on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, another shows a CD similar to the Yeezus album artwork.

West has confirmed that the musical project ‘Yandhi’ will drop September 29, coinciding with an SNL appearance. It will be Ye’s seventh appearance on the show. It’s uncertain whether this record will be a full-length album, a Yeezus sequel, another EP or mixtape. Yandhi of course sounds like a play on Gandhi, in the same way Yeezus was of Jesus.

The rapper has put out five records – the Wyoming albums – this year alone. He has also claimed that a sequel to Watch the Throne is on its way ‘soon’.

Yesterday (September 17) West also confirmed his upcoming collaboration with Chance the Rapper. While attending Chance’s Open Mike night in Chicago, he confirmed the title as Good Ass Job, something Chance had teased on his own Instagram.

Yandhi season is coming September 29.
