Listen to the first track from Thom Yorke’s Suspiria soundtrack

The full soundtrack will be released on October 26

Thom Yorke has shared the first full song from his Suspiria soundtrack – following a teaser released on Instagram over the weekend – and it’s exactly as chilling as we’d hoped. On “Suspirium”, Yorke’s always-beautiful voice floats sparsely over a piano, duetting with a mournful flute. Top tip: don’t listen if you’re feeling emotionally fragile RN.

Yorke also announced in a tweet that the full soundtrack would be released via XL Recordings on October 26.

Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria is a remake of the 1977 horror classic, which had a cult soundtrack by Italian prog rock band Goblin. Yorke’s version will contain 25 compositions, and will be available as a double vinyl package. He recently told BBC 6 Music: “Normally (scoring) a horror movie involves orchestras, these specific things… But Luca, the director, and Walter, the editor, are very much, like, find your own path with it… I just have to find a way into it.”
