Blood Orange keeps things very chill in his new ‘Saint’ video

The vibey track comes from his latest album, Negro Swan

Following the release of his very excellent album Negro Swan, Blood Orange has graced us with self-directed visuals to accompany his latest single, “Saint”.

Set in an apartment building off the bustling streets of New York, Dev Hynes sings, plays the keys and cello, and taps into a drum machine, putting on a lowkey soulful performance while his friends sit back and peacefully vibe to his music, eating pizza and smoking.

The video features cameos from Pose actress Indya Moore, Kai the Black Angel (who features in the album artwork), Ana Kraš, and others.

Hynes’s fourth full-length album as Blood Orange features guest spots and vocal snippets from Janet Mock, Amandla StenbergPuff Daddy and A$AP Rocky. It also includes the singles “Jewelry” and “Charcoal Baby”

In a recent interview with Exclaim, the musician revealed that he has made another “more nihilistic and aggressive” album at the same time as Negro Swan, though no other details have been announced.

Watch the video for “Saint” below.
