Watch FKA twigs’ incredible MOBOs set

The avant-pop auteur performed ‘Figure 8’ and ‘In Time’ at the Leeds awards ceremony

There's no denying twig's genius anymore. It's official. Whether she's making artdirecting feminist thinkpieces or just creating boundary breaking pop music, the mystic auteur has become one of the most formidable and original voices in the creative world. And last night, she proved exactly why.

Performing at the 20th anniversary of the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) awards, the singer spellbound the audience with a very special extended performance of “Figure 8” and “In Time”. And, despite missing out on the award for Best Female – WTF btw – she did manage to walk away with Best Video for “Pendulum”.

Twigs also proved her fashion credentials in a black bespoke leotard by Jitrois (she also wore the brand on the red carpet) teamed with black leather thigh-high boots.

“I don’t really (keep my sexy on the downlow),” she told Paper recently. “I throb. Do you know what I mean? I have that throbbing energy, and I accept it, and I harness it when I need to. It’s not even a conscious thing.”

Watch the unconscious throbbing in full force below.
