The evening will feature a special showing of Contre Courant, followed by a Q&A with director duo Kourtrajmeuf, drinks and DJ sets

Next week, Nowness, Nike, and Courir will host Contre Courant, a one-night event at the Grand Palais Immersif, bringing together the worlds of fashion, film and sport.

At the centre is the premiere of Contre Courant, a short film by Kourtrajmeuf featuring Paris-based artist Garance Vallée. The film delves into Vallée's creative universe, a blend of architecture, design and movement, capturing the essence and spirit of the Nike Shox.

Known for their sharp, honest perspective and cinematic work rooted in everyday culture, Kourtrajmeuf became a duo in 2020. Since directors Bouchra Ouikou and Ghizlane Terraz, have created films rooted in connection, led by a strong visual sense and point of view.

After the screening, LÿdiE LAPēstE will host a Q&A with both directors. Together, they will break down their approach to storytelling, collaboration and how they brought this project to life.

The night will also feature a showcase of the Disruptive by Design open call winners, cocktails from Tico Tequila and DJ sets from Zepequenaï and Lil Rosy.

Tickets are first-come, first-served. Head here for your chance to sign up.
