New South Wales police have launched an investigation after Jacob Elordi was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with radio producer Joshua Fox, Variety reports.
Fox shared his account of the incident on the most recent broadcast of his KIIS FM radio show, The Kyle & Jackie O Show. According to Fox, he approached Elordi at a hotel in Sydney and jokingly asked if he could have some of the Saltburn actor’s bathwater to gift to his radio co-host Jackie O, while filming the encounter.
Allegedly, Elordi then asked Fox if he could delete the footage and refrain from filming him, before turning aggressive. “And then Jacob kind of just flips and he kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat,” Fox said on his radio show.
“I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence,” he continued. “I’m thinking if I delete this footage, there’s no evidence that this encounter happened.” He added that he felt “quite intimidated” and thought that one of Elordi’s friends would “jump” him.
New South Wales Police said in a statement to Variety: “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”
