Charli XCX joins Drag Race All Stars judges, and a new twist is revealed

The first trailer for the show’s sixth season is finally here

Viewers, start your engines! The first trailer for the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is finally here – and it comes with a twist.

“This season of All Stars is going to be a game within a game,” reveals Ru in the teaser. Although no more details are explicitly shared, the queens say they’re “gagged” by the announcement, which promises to test their friendships.

There’s also going to be a surprise guest, whose identity appears to shock the rest of the queens. TBC if it’s another contestant or a celebrity judge – here’s hoping it might be Cher, who previously said she’s “going to have to go” on Drag Race “at some point”.

Twists aside, the really big news is that Charli XCX is set to appear on the judging panel – complete with long blonde hair and a tiny fringe. She’s joined on the line-up by Emma Watson, Sister Sister’s Tia Mowry, Big Freedia, and none other than Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles.

Last month, we got our first look at the record 13 contestants on this season of All Stars. Several Drag Race series 11 alum will be returning, including A’Keria C. Davenport, Ra’Jah O’Hara, Scarlet Envy, and Silky Nutmeg Ganache, alongside Kylie Sonique Love, Jiggly Caliente, Serena ChaCha, Trinity K. Bonet, Eureka, and Jan.

For others, season six won’t be their first Drag Race All Stars rodeo, including Ginger Minj (of All Stars season two) and contestants from All Stars’ ill-fated first outing, Pandora Boxx and Yara Sofia.

Drag Race All Stars is premiering on Paramount+ on June 24. Watch the trailer below.
