The design duo’s signature upside-down tailoring saw greige trousers transformed into topsy-turvy blazers, as if they had been mangled in a riptide. Chunks of ice – kept cool in an industrial freezer backstage – were given rucksack and handbag straps. Canadian tuxedos were sun-bleached in rippled gradients of blue and white, reminiscent of waves lapping onto a sandy beach. The sleeves on cardigans and jersey dresses were tied around the neck in an attempt to intimate a diver coming up for air, bodycons and tube tops took on the silhouettes of diving gear, and almost everything came punctured with the brand’s trademark open-heart cookie-cuts.
