Stone Island wants to know: do you like it hardcore?

The legendary Italian brand enlists Knocked Loose frontman Isaac Hale for its ongoing AW25 series

Stone Island’s relationship with music is inextricable, with the Italian superbrand kitting out a swathe of subcultures – from the kids who went wild in fields across the UK as rave took over the country in the early 90s, to the bucket hat-wearing Britpop brigade that rose up a few years later, to the grime scene of the mid 00s It’s even been immortalised in song a whole bunch of times, by the likes of Chris & Reece and Terror Danjah, with Dean Blunt going as far as naming an entire EP after it back in 2015.

One genre Stone Island isn’t quite so intrinsically linked to, though, is the screamo, post-punk and hardcore scene, despite being a go-to for many bands rising up through its ranks. Among them is Knocked Loose’s lead guitarist Isaac Hale, who’s considered himself a long-term stan of the label, and has now been tapped to star in its latest Community Research campaign for AW25

The Grammy-nominated musician follows in the footsteps of Oasis legend Liam Gallagher and Peggy Gou, answering a series of important questions posed by the brand while wearing an uber-techy Ripstop Light HT Nylon jacket. When asked about his inspirations, he cites his dad, whether he collects anything he answers “t-shirts by this hardcore band from Minneapolis called Disembodied”, and what his favourite season is, he claims he’s “anti-summer, pro-winter”, which makes a lot of sense given he’s such a big Stone Island fan.
