Is A$AP Rocky staging a secret fashion show in Paris?

Rumours began to swirl last night that an AWGE runway show would be happening during Paris Fashion Week Men’s

Like all the best fashion week rumours, this one started circulating in the early hours of the morning, when we all should’ve really been in bed. A packed schedule of back to back shows means not that much time for rest, but then the night time events rear their head and they’re just too hard to deny. It was at one of those parties where news first began to spread. A whisper here, a couple of WhatsApps there: A$AP Rocky was in Paris for fashion week.

Likely place for him to be, I hear you say. Though it’s obviously not much of a far-fetched idea that a world famous musician with a well-documented penchant for fashion might be attending Paris Fashion Week, those previously mentioned rumours also suggested he might not just be here to check out the catwalk shows. Apparently he was staging one of his own, too.

While nothing has been confirmed by Rocky’s team, the network of clandestine fashion whisperers is saying that the show is happening live in Paris on Friday, and it’s for the musician’s mysterious brand and creative collection AWGE. While details of the show are still cloaked in secrecy, the collection is reportedly titled American Sabotage and happening at a yet-to-be disclosed location somewhere in the city, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for a last-minute location drop.

If the show comes to fruition, this will be AWGE’s first ever runway moment. It would be a big step for a brand that is often shrouded in secrecy and still prefers to move in relative silence, despite Rocky’s huge profile and his decade in the game. Back in April though, the rapper dropped a capsule of tanks and t-shirts with trompe-l’oeil bulletproof vests and the words ‘American Sabotage’ across the front, and even wore one to perform at Rolling Loud in Miami all the way back in July 2023. So, the will-he-won’t-he fashion week show might just be a rumour for now, but looks like Rocky’s been dropping hints that something’s coming for a while.
