Birkenstock celebrates sportswear with latest Corduroy-Inspired Line

The German shoewear brand’s latest collection looks to street and sportswear for inspiration

When it comes to day-to-day footwear, Birkenstock has continuously stood as an enduring icon of comfort. In its almost 250-year history, it has managed to retain its heritage of functionality, while also exploring more avant-garde styles.

Now for its new range, the German brand has looked to its own history to honour some of its most famous and classic models. The outcome sees a new collection created using a revamped, new suede material. These new shoes incorporate textured ridges, inspired by the timeless corduroy fabric, also known as ‘Manchester Cloth’. In addition, a new wide range of colourways will follow this launch.

Photographed in a local warehouse, the models sports the corduroy-inspired line and embody how a new generation of Birkenstock wearers style the shoes. Hoodies, denim jackets, cargo pants, tracksuits, and an array of other quintessential streetwear staples come together to shape the complete looks that harmonise with the latest Birkenstock corduroy-inspired line.

The full collection is now available online here.
