Having previously joined forces on collections with the likes of Outdoor Label and Aimé Leon Dore, next up on Woolrich’s growing list of collaborators is cult Japanese brand N.HOOLYWOOD on a new range of outerwear for AW19.
With both brands ultimately sharing the same vision – to create adaptable, long-lasting garments that anticipate social and environmental change – according to N.HOOLYWOOD creative director Daisuke Obana, the inspiration for the new collaborative offering came from his own collection of archive Woolrich pieces. For the designer, repurposing vintage apparel and sourcing materials in ethical ways has always been a primary focus, while Woolrich has also been continually stepping up its efforts to create in a more sustainable way.
The collection itself delivers four styles and juxtaposes check and camouflage to create a dynamic motif which is available in two variants featuring grey and green tones. The iconic bomber has also been reinvented with neon mesh detailing and the wool shirt combines a multi-colour palette with inspiration from the US Navy.
