Virgil Abloh and Jun Takahashi join forces on a new collab

The Off-White and Undercover designers’ UNDEROFFWHITECOVERS line will comprise a series of streetwear-informed styles incorporating each label’s distinctive style

Just days after Off-White’s creative director Virgil Abloh announced his momentary break from public life due to illness, the label has revealed a new collaboration with Undercover. Including a selection of t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, denim styles, and the ubiquitous waist-bag, Off-White’s signature markings are re-imagined by Undercover founder Jun Takahashi.

Entitled UNDEROFFWHITECOVERS, the merged logos will appear across the collection, which draws inspiration from late 20th century Japanese comedy. The accompanying campaign features Japanese actors Naoto Takenaka and Eri Fuse in a number of iconic role-play scenarios.

Takahashi and Abloh’s collaboration comes as no real surprise, with each of the designers helping to propel the once-underground fashion movement onto the global fashion landscape.

The collection will launch on September 14. Revisit the Off-White SS20 menswear show below.
