To mark the weekend of World Homelessness Day, join writer and youth worker Ciaran Thapar as he explores hidden homelessness with a panel of speakers who in one way or another have encountered this underreported national crisis.
Thapar is the author of Cut Short: Youth Violence, Loss and Hope in the City, and a regular contributor to publications such as British GQ and The Guardian, where he writes on topics like social inequality, youth culture and British race politics. As the founder of community organisation RoadWorks, he works directly with young people in schools, youth clubs and prisons.
Joined by activist Brookemorgan Henry-Rennie, multi-disciplinary creative Josephine Jones and author and Dazed 100-er Jeremiah Emmanuel, this talk will debunk myths, address some of the causes of homelessness and provide insights and a toolkit for how we can all help.
