The Sochi Project

In the center of the seaside resort Pitsunda, between the ramshackle high-rise hotels and pine trees, is a long-abandoned ballroom. It epitomizes the romance of decay. “Not for long,” the mayor assured us. Sochi will put Abkhazia on the tourist map.
