Often, the theme of the collection wasn’t expressed so directly: one mid-riff exposing black funnel sweater, for example, would probably get you sent home with a stern letter from the head teacher, and the black and red evening gowns, many bearing prints of fruits, would be incongruously elegant at your typical school disco – it’s all a far cry from Juicy Couture. Some of the trousers feature pixelated prints, which brought an intriguing note of modernity – or perhaps now retro-modernity, harking back to the days when it took five minutes for a webpage to load.
