The idea of late winter giving way to spring is expressed in Thaw’s stark, elegant colour palettes, dominated by blacks, dark blues, greys and whites (no florals or pastels here.) The drape of the fabrics is intended to convey a sense of melting, and the shapes – from low-waisted trousers to exposed midriffs – borrow from both early and late 00s silhouettes, but “minus the heroin chic body ideals”. The accompanying jewellery, meanwhile, “takes the shape of Fred flowers coated in resin, beads of water suspended in mid-drip.”
