…well, wearable is to be taken with a grain of salt. Models shuffled with limited motion through the space in Kawakubo’s gigantic creations – from puffed-up, rose-embroidered bunches, to fraying, zig-zagging twists, to spiralling tubes of fabric – all dramatically enveloping the body. Other looks included red and white netted boxes that formed cubic, pointy shapes around the models, brown and pink cushiony shapes piled one over the other, and thick fabric, covered in crocheted lace that covered the model like they were scrunched-up in their duvet.
