“We were inspired by these bondage magazines that we found in Japan depicting housewives,” the label’s creative directors, Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, told Dazed after the show. “There were these moments that looked so perfect and undone.” Subverting any stereotypes of “perfect” or “prudish” housewives, the duo sent models from a faux living room scene to a club-like runway, where they spun around and caressed audience-members’ faces.
