The show acted as a debutante’s ball for young women unwilling to grow up, or rather, unwilling to grow up in the way that is expected of them. The Simone Rocha woman wears a clear PVC skirt in the place of a ball gown, her hair is bedraggled, and sometimes she’s so sleepy that she brings her pillow out with her.
