When guests stepped into Diesel’s Milan Fashion Week show space this season, they were greeted by over 3,000 metres of loose fabric, graffitied within an inch of its life by 7,000 amateur artists from across the globe. “I love that thousands of people around the world have worked together to create the set design,” said creative director Glenn Martens in the show notes. “We gave the global street art collective complete creative freedom”. As a result, phrases like ‘Handle with care’ and ‘All here for the dolls’ were sprayed across the sheets, as well as one of the giant blow-up dolls from the SS23 set, which hovered above the catwalk once again.
