For AW25, Rei Kawakubo’s famously brief show notes made one blistering remark: “To hell with war.” Presenting a military-inspired collection amidst so much global conflict is a bold move, but, as the first models stepped onto the Paris runway, Kawakubo’s indictment of the world’s military-industrial complex soon became clear.
