As is to be expected of Watanabe, his SS25 offering was as abstract, futuristic and sculptural as always. Reflective, athleisure inspired looks made from silver foil opened the show featuring elements of cycling gear – though you’d struggle to ride a bike in these looks. Strong square shoulders jutted out from the body, as did waistlines, hems and collars. A master of shape, Watanabe is known for his angular, multilayered approach to clothes.
