At first, Davis’s ballerina influences came through in broad strokes, as models appeared in second-skin cashmere leotards and satin, ribboned pumps, as if they were walking home from a barre class. From here, though, the balletic spirit was transferred to a feeling, one that came through in liquid tailoring and ballooning, airy silhouettes.
