Marc Jacobs hinted at who he was dressing for the evening on his Instagram, and for anyone who hadn’t guessed, it soon became apparent Dua Lipa had called on him to create a goth look that felt somehow indebted to Gwyneth Paltrow’s iconic McQueen Oscars look. Sadly no sign of the designer himself, who repeatedly spayed the Met’s carpet in the 90s and 00s.
